Refractory mortars are
joint materials used in brickwork or for joining prefabricated
parts. They are supplied in dry form and after addition of
mixing liquid- water-are
brought to the ready for use consistency.
Mortars are either
hydraulically, ceramic or ceramic-chemically bound.
The former is suitable
where higher strength is necessary or desired in the lower
temperatures; on the other hand Ceramic-chemical bond reach the
final strength after some definite higher temperatures although
some degree of “set” is reached in ambient temperature. |
