Mouldables

Generally these are refractory materials to produce monolithics constructions or moulded shapes in which refractory aggregates are bound with chemicals or/and ceramic binders other than hydraulic cement. Such compositions often provide some degree of “set” or strength in the cold, but the resultant body usually require heading to some definite high temperature before the full strength is developed.
